Whenever I play SnU (latest copy of game, latest vnds, on a dstt) there's no sex scenes! I mean, the text for the scenes is still there, but the cgs stay at whatever they were before the scene started, and then progress once the scene is done. Halp!

it's not there're really whole sex scenes, there're probably less than 10 cgs showing somethings
and they're all censored too
That's not an error... That's the game.
The "saya no uta" i have on my ds does contain sex scenes, but i dont think theyre critical to the story, if you know when they are supposed to happen then theres no loss in terms of story

Are you blind? There AREN'T sex scenes, all that is there is like 10 CGs that are "R Rated" CENSORED through the entire game.

That's what probably you saw but you thought there was more. There isn't.
Also, if you didn't even see those CGs, you did something wrong with the novel file, cause the CGs are there. Just extract it and check the folders.

There are scenes where penis's enter vaginas, therefore, sex occurs in these scenes. If you want to argue the semantics of how many CG it takes to constitute a sex scene, have fun. The point is that a bug is causing certain cg not to load.
the cg not loading bug could be a vnds problem. i had it too while porting plus+disc, some backgrounds just didn't want to load even though the path was right. but they were zipped, after unzipping them they worked fine.
I can confirm that the sex CG are indeed missing. I didn't even really pay much attention to it, but this is a bit annoying looking back. Any ideas on it being fixed yet?
How many of them were missing? I saw quite a few on my playthrough, but it's not like I bothered to count them.
From what I could tell, pretty much any of them that showed nudity during the sex scenes. If I recall correctly, it just has the room shown but once the scene is over, it shows the one where the two are laying together in bed. Seems like it might have been edited out
unzip the game, run from unzipped folder. that should fix it.

Do I simply place everything that comes from it right along with the other novels? I did this, and it didn't recognize it when I tried to play it through my DS.

Ok, here to answer my own question for any one else having trouble. Like dhloZdHI said, unzip the novel file and put everything that comes from it into a folder, which you must make, called Saya no Uta or whatever. That folder goes right along with the other novels. It'll be 100% complete
