So, as mentioned by other here for some reason narcissu sound version does not work or even show up as a selectable novel in vnds. yet the non sound version does. My question is has anyone been able to get around this and get it to work and if so how? someone mentioned unzipping a fsn file and overwritting it, but i have no idea what that means or how to do it. if anyone can help me please tell me how to do this. thanks!

lol its a spongebob squarepants reference. Spongebob and Patrick get the mermaidman belt thing and it has an M as the buckle. It kept making things smaller and Patrick suggests to turn the buckle upside down and set it to wumbo.

ok...so i gues im on the right track, but havent quite fixed the problem. I finally figured out 2 things. 1; to use winrar to extract the .novel file into a folder/subfolders file (explaining what an earlier person meant by "copying contents and overwritting"), and 2; what poster 2 meant by wumbo'ing the file lol. ie extracting the compressed file into its full size, rite? lol. so i followed the person's advice of copying and pasting the entire contents on the non sound version into the sound file but my results were not exactly the ideal working game i wanted. the sound now works (sorta...music plays, and voices work, but voices are very deep low pitched) but the pictures do not display just a black screen. anyone got thru this problem?
well, the .novel file isn't really compressed, it is just supposed to be sort of less of a hassle. Probably the best idea is to use the version before the current revision five, since there really hasn't been a major update in the stuff anyways. As far as I know, it works (I never knew how to get the .novel stuff to work right so i dunno if it works as a .novel file)
It should fix up most if not all of the problems (I think).

thanks alot! that worked! im not use how urs was different than the one i extracted but it now does display images as well as play sound/music. there seems to still be a few minor bugs though. Sometimes the voice sound files loop when they should not, for some reason save/load is a little buggy, etc. but these are small costs. thanks for uploading a working version for me! I appreciated alot!
